Live PaintingPonds, portraiture and Peroni's! I've been getting back to basics lately and doing as much live/plein air painting as possible. The mountains and nature of beautiful Northern California have been of great inspiration, and I can't wait to continue exploring. For live painting I have been working with acrylic on canvas panel, in sessions ranging from 1 to 2.5 hours.

Mural at Big Dog RanchI recently completed this 3 wall indoor mural on behalf of The Hometown Foundation at Big Dog Ranch Rescue , the largest cage-free, no-kill dog rescue in the United States. I completed this piece in under 4 days, working on it about 40 hours on it total. While the timeline was tight, the challenge was a lot of fun!
My goal was to create a piece that highlighted the several facets of The Hometown Foundation, a charity organization that raises millions of dollars every year to support local and international communities and people. Some of their initiatives include individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, chronic illness, K9s for police units and veterans, disaster relief, animal adoption, community food drives and SO much more. |
